Definition: Manganese alloy is an alloy composed of manganese, silicon, iron and a small amount of carbon and other elements.
Classification: the main products are silicon manganese and ferromanganese, ferromanganese is divided into high carbon ferromanganese (C content 7%~7.5%) in carbon ferromanganese (C content 1%~1.5%) low carbon ferromanganese (C content 0.2%~0.7%).
Effect: manganese has deoxidation, desulfurization and regulation effects (such as preventing the formation of steel grain edge carbides), but also can increase the strength, toughness, quenchability of steel, steel and stainless steel manufacturing process is very widely used, such consumption accounts for 85% to 90% of the demand for manganese. The total consumption of ferromanganese is 0.8%~0.9% of steel production.
